Making a difficult choice...
IS DIFFICULT! I wish this was easy but if it was easy it wouldn’t be considered difficult. Difficult decisions are decisions that must be made that have pros and cons. But in order to make the best decision you must first decide how you will feel after the decision. Will you feel overwhelmed, sad or frustrated? If none of the above then consider the next level of questions who else will be affected by this decision? Will you have to sacrifice certain people? Are these people your children?
Often the person affected by the decision will always be you. Is it worth it? Can you live with this? Are the expected outcomes a realistic fear?
Keep in mind decisions are often halted by overthinking. Which results in the avoidance of making a decision and living in fear, or living the consequence of not making a decision. Overthinking can begin with these questions and quickly evolve into negative thoughts and questions instantly overwhelming you.
So in order to make a difficult decision I say choose a decision that will choose you. A decision where you can be your genuine self and the kind of person you want to be.
